I recently heard part of a very interesting discussion on KQED radio on Making Effective Environmental Choices, by Warren Leon and Michael Brower. I would be very interested in hearing this on your web site. The show aired on August 22, 1999 in San Francisco.

This site is excellent! As a native Cantabrigian, it makes me proud to see the long time tradition continued of Cambridge as the place for stimulating, insightful and heartfelt dialogue/discussion/dissent/deliberation/disagreement/delight! I would love to see a program on women's leadership as we move towards the Millenium.

I happened to catch the tail end of a live recording of a discussion on religion (6/6 on NPR) and (I believe he was a Catholic priest) the discussion was very intelligent on current religion and secularism in America....what was the priests name, and what was the name of the show? Did he publish? Thanks for the great show, Jack

As a one-time Cantabrigian I find your program inexpressibly refreshing, whenever I'm able to tune in. Programs like yours, and the NPR stations that carry them, keep this nation from fragmenting into permanent regional polarization by addressing the story behind the story.

The death of Sir Fred Hoyle has renewed my interest in a forum on the negative impact of research funding on new ideas science. I know from personal experience that many scientists are afraid to champion ideas that might alienate those making decisions on their grants or the publication of their papers. If Cambridge Forum has an interest and the courage to address this issue, I will be happy to participate. - Oliver

July 24, I am looking for the piece by Barry Lopez read by Barry Lopez that aired on KQED San Francisco this past weekend. I was unable to figure out how to search for it on your site. Thank you.

I missed the reference for Lewis' comments about the future; what book was that from? Was Lewis really that negative about the future? It's obviously a mistake to try to live in a dream of the future, but a life that doesn't include some dreaming isn't fully human either. Past, future and present are faith, hope and charity. And of these the greatest is love, what we do in the present. The trick is to expand the present moment so that it reaches back to the foundations of past experience and reaches ahead to the dream of a better future.

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading all the books by K Norris, read/studied C.S Lewis books and held the Word of God as a benchmark for all their thoughts and experiences. It would be great to see a summary or hear a tape synopsis of the ensuing Cambridge panel. I think this is a great site. Nadia

I heard a speaker on KQED that I thought was your forum speaking about a book that he wrote on his experience as a professionalcross country skiier. I thought it was called "Endurane" but I didn't get the author's name and the book isn't coming up under that name. Any ideas? Thanks.

Aaargh....I really enjoy the Cambridge Forum but its very frustrasting because all too often I find out about your programs after they have been broadcast. KQED does not do a very good job providing advance notice on their web site. Do you have a LISTSERV that sends out email notifications of future programs?

"Robert Reich for President!" Thank you Cambridge Forum (and KQED in California) for broadcasting his powerfully simple talk. His basic message, "Don't fight change; make it good for everyone", and his ideas on how to achieve that, should reach every voter -- and every candidate for public office.

I just heard Marion Wright Edelman's "Memoir of Mentors" on KQED-FM out of San Francisco. Thank you for airing these kinds of programs, and I am so gratified that KQED-FM carries them. Thank you for providing this kind of intellectually stimulating, humane, and important broadcast. I will make sure I listen every Sunday evening. (I grew up in Boston, and lived in Cambridge for several years as a young adult in the early-mid 70s, and wish you had been around then, or, if you were, I wish I had known about you). Thank you again.

Thanks for a wonderful program. I was fascinated by last nights forum with Paul Hoffman (sp?) discussing glaciology, pre-historic climatic conditions and current gobal warming. As a geologist I was unaware and amazed by his statement of the polar ice cap/glacial sea ice pack reaching to the equator and being a mile thick. Wow.
