Is this America?
........................................................................................................................................
The
2006 Cambridge Forum Fall season explores this question: Is This America?
Stresses
due to economic globalization and terrorism have ushered in a contentious period
of
reinterpretation
of our basic constitutional principles. For its 40th season Cambridge
Forum examines some of the perceived threats to American ideals.
Can we find common ground in those ideals to restore respectful civic dialogue? How have everyday Americans' lives changed after four years of fighting the war on terrorism? Is the government's plan for economic recovery working? Are the nation's schools showing any signs of improvement due to legislative reforms? Our expert speakers weigh in with their answers and invite you to join the discussion. The Fall season schedule is posted here. (http://www.cambridgeforum.org/publicity/pr1.html ).
